© Christ United Methodist Church 2011 Made with Xara © Christ United Methodist Church 2012 Groups Circles Women in this circle use their knitting and crocheting skills to create prayer shawls (prayer Shawl Ministry) or hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for distribution to local families by Groton Social Services. Members range in skill from experienced to "newby" knitters or crocheters. The prayer shawls are intended to bring God's comfort and love - via the prayerful stitches in the shawls - to people who are ill or grieving. Occasionally, a shawl is given in celebration or thanksgiving of a special, happy event (wedding). This circle meets on the first Monday of each month at 7PM at the home of Janet Long About Us
